How Do I Take A Webinar?

  1. Go to www.education-works.com.
  2. Find link to webinar area.
  3. Select the webinar desired.
  4. Receive confirmation from education-works with instructions.
  5. Print out the handouts for the program.
  6. Log on to webinar and dial-up for phone connect.
  7. Participate in webinar.

    After class. . .

  8. Receive email from education-works with link to site.
  9. Enter user name and password.
  10. Take the quiz.
  11. Fill out survey.
  12. Request NCIDQ form, if desired.
  13. Download certificate.
  14. Go right back to work!
What to Know Before You Sign Up for a Webinar
No special equipment other than a computer with an internet connection and a land line telephone (no cell phones or speakerphones due to the noise generated). You may use a headset that connects to your land line telephone for ease of participation, if you have one.
You will need to set your email filter or email security or spam filter so that you can receive emails from education-works.com and from gotomeeting.com. Otherwise the emails necessary to inform you regarding the webinar may be blocked.
You will need the free Adobe Reader which, if you have not previously downloaded it, you will need to download from www.adobe.com. The Adobe Reader is a free download. This will allow you to open and print the handouts that will be sent to you via email from faye@education-works.com or linda@education-works.com.
The handouts for your webinar will be sent under separate email from faye@education-works.com. Please print these out prior to the start of the webinar as there will be no time once the webinar starts.
You will need the Flash plug-in in order to take the quiz at the end of the program. You may download this free plug-in from www.adobe.com.
The email that you will receive from gotomeeting.com will contain the URL (website address) for the webinar and the access code and phone number. Note: you cannot download the simple software required for the webinar until you are ready to login to the webinar. It will take a moment to do this, so try to login to the website approximately 5 minutes before the webinar begins.
All times posted for the webinars are EASTERN TIME (either daylight, if in effect or standard).
